Problem with Postfix and a blacklisting

So our server was blacklisted from a specific server (from their mail filter), it wasn't a public blacklist, it was a specific domain that did it on their mail filter.
Could this cause mail going out to all other external addresses to become slower? I can't see how it would. We don't come any where near maxing out the server, it's relatively robust and we only send out about 80 to 100 emails an hour. We don't even accept incoming mail on it, just outgoing. Any help would be great on this. We have since removed the blacklist as it was a mistake, but my boss is looking for answers and I don't really have any for him. The filter was essentially denying connection attempts from our server. |
