forward to originator

Hi,
This may seem like a strange request.
I have a simple forward rule setup on a users mailbox. It forwards all mail to my gmail account. It works fine *except* when mail is sent to that user *from* my gmail account.
what i need to do is the following:
special@mydomain => me@gmail
it works except when i am the sender:
me@gmail => special@mydomain => me@gmail
It may seem like a strange thing to want to do and its a long story involving rss and joomla.
Is there a way for me to enable the forwarding of mail back to the originator if required? is this a postfix rule? any help appreciated.
cheers
