Unable to detect HDD
|
|
|
Hey,
I have stuck with a problem regarding connecting HDD parallely.
I have 40GB (Samsung IDE-HDD) on which i boot Redhat Linux and Win2k3.
Want to detect my 80GB (Seagate IDE-HDD) and access all partitions of it
under Linux as well as on Win2k3. But no luck, i tried all combinations/permutations of jumper settings and Mastering/Slaving HDD also.
The results are it detects my 80Gb HDD in BIOS/CMOS settings but doesnt show any of the partitions to me those in Win2k3. Though it shows all partitions in Disk Management of Win2k3.
Regarding Linux it gets stuck while booting at System logger........?
I have three primary partitions on booting HDD and 15 partitions on 80GB HDD.
Is it an issue with partitions..?
Any idea what can be done to detect and access my both HDD's? |
