Sound support in VmWare
|
|
|
Sorry for my question, I'm a newbee here.
Does somebody know how to enable sound for FreeBSD under VmWare and if this
possible?
Per VmWare spec "sound is not tested for FreeBSD"; the default installations
of FreeBSD (5.2, 5.3, 6.0) do not have sound enabled. KDE reports "No
/dev/dsp...." and /dev/dsp really does not exist, there are no /dev/dsp* at
all.
sound_load="YES" and
sound_driver_load="YES" are set in /boot/loader.conf (the kernel is not
recompiled though).
Any clue? |

Well if it says "VmWare spec sound is not tested for freebsd" should give
you a hint about the support of sound in vmware. |
