AIX parameters for Oracle
|
|
|
Hi,
AIX 5.1 Oracle 9.2.0.4
I have the following parameters:
minservers 40
maxservers 200
maxreqs 4096
I have often the following :
Warning: lio_listio returned EAGAIN
Performance degradation may be seen.
According the documentation, i have to increase maxservers
Is there any issue to set 300 for maxservers
and maxreqs 8192 ?
I plan to set , according the documentation,
vmtune -c 8
vmtune -r 32 -R 64 ( MINPGAHEAD, MAXPGAHEAD )
Have you any experiences about these parameters ?
Thanks in advance ... |

Yes, you have to increase maxservers and maxreqs, and the error will go
away. Don't forget to reboot the server for the new settings to become
active.
PS : why are you still on AIX 5.1 ? There were some async i/o bugs fixed in
5.2, I don't think 5.1 is still supported by IBM. |
