I recently got a blade 2000 on which I installed solaris 10.
All went well. I then decided to try ubuntu. Did a net install,
but could not get the xserver to work and decided to stick with
solaris. When I tried to re-install solaris, all went well till
I got to the "system is being initialized" screen where I got the
message that "no disks found".

The strange thing is that the "format" command can see the drive
and I can modify the partition table. Another puzzler is that
even after I wrote the disk label, I still get "bad magic number in disk label"
when I do a "OK>boot disk"

Any thoughts? Perhaps the Blade is mad at me for installing ubuntu :>).

Thanks,
Dick Freedman

Any chance that ubuntu put on an EFI label? You can use 'format -e' and
then 'label' to put a VTOC/SMI label on.
