current kernel compile problem
|
|
|
I have a PC (i386) loaded with netBSD 3.0. I have added a wireless pci card
that is supported in the current kernel. I have downloaded the kernel
source and tried to compile the GENERIC kernel. (Note I have successfully
compiled the 3.0 GENERIC kernel on the same machine).
The first problem was with config which showed syntax errors in files.pf.
Comparing with the 3.0 source the current source has three extra lines in
files.pf and it is these that cause the syntax error. Commenting them out
allows config to complete.
Now make depend fails almost immediately with syntax errors.
Before I go any further I just wanted to ask if anyone else has successfully
compiled GENERIC on i386?
