kernel difference between 3.9 & 2.8?
|
|
|
Hi, I remember when I used OpenBSD 2.8 6 years ago, it was not stable
when the system under heavy traffic load. I wonder whether this had been
completely improved to match FreeBSD performance? Had its kernel
completely rewritten based on FreeBSD kernel source??
Thanks

Are you trying to troll?
If not, no, FreeBSD is a different system and OpenBSD searches for its
own solutions. But yes, it's quite stable. I haven't used the version
from six years ago, but feel reasonably confident stating that that one
would also be quite stable, if properly administrated.
