O2 Problems.. please help
|
|
|
I was given a O2 (R500 192Megs/40Gig - I think)
And when I plug it it I get no video, or beeps no nothing..
Its hooed up to a standard VGA monitor and PS/2 Keyboard.. I have taken
it apart and re-seated everything.
I do have a RED power LED and it sounds like the drive is going..
The guy I got it off of says its stuck in sleep mode.. but I don't
think he really knows anything..
IS it pooched??
Any help would be appriciated.. I'd like to save it from the trash.. |

red means: not running, orange: started off well, but still loading,
green: O2 is finally fine... be sure the main module is really seated!
You´ll have to press firmly and *not* rely on the plastic lever alone.
All modules must be aligned with the case, otherwise - red light only.

ah, and btw., a VGA monitor must be SOG capable to work on O2 AFAIK. |

As it is a modular computer, I would suggest reseating all the
components on it...
Sadly, there are not a lot of components you can remove to isolate
the problem on that computer, but reseating them again (and perhaps
carefully clean the connectors between them) will help.
Cheers,
Igor. |
