How do you remove typed URL's in Netscape 4.7, IRIX 6.5,, in the
Location Bar?

edit or delete file ~/.netscape/history.list
If you are editing the file do not forget to remove the backup your
editor creates.

Yes it was. My 2x600 MHz Octane was not that cheap ;-)

I got two Indy's with media (5.3 and 6.2) and an O2 for free...
pick up was free too, at few than 300 m of my home. :-)
