Hi,
We've SCO Unix installed on our servers. I don't know much about the
servers, becuase I only can login and use my applications. Currently,
we are using windows clients with Smarterm
(www.svamsoftware.com/newsvam2/products/smarterm/default.asp) and RPM
(remote printing manager - http://www.brooksnet.com). Are there any
alternatives for these 2 applications on linux. If there are any
alternatives, kindly tell me. So, we can migrate our clients to linux.

thanks,
Hameed U. Khan

Both applications you list are Windows based. There should be no reason
either will no work with Linux. RPM even mentions Linux support on their
web site.

Looks like smarterm emulates xterm under xwindows, and rpm emulates
lpr and/or lpd: these programs are available on all Unix systems
including Linux.
