G'day fellow SGI nuts,

I've had the dubious pleasure of hooking up my SGI box to the net via
DHCP under IRIX 6.2. Surprisingly, it runs pretty much outta da box,
except my dimwitted DHCP server (a router/DSL modem combo) requires the
clients to explicitly supply an identifier (e.g. MAC address) in order
to resolve the hostname.

Going over the proclaim manpage, there's no mention of an appropriate
option to put in /etc/config/proclaim.options. I came across the
release notes for patch 3117 which allegedly add such an option to
proclaim. Applying the patch didn't make a helluva diff, though: the
proclaim binary was updated, but its manpage wasn't, so whatever the
option is, it's not documented.

Anyone here have a clue how to get proclaim to supply a DHCP client
identifier?

Thanks and best regards (and long live SGI!)
