Mirroring and Striping 4 Drives on 2 Controllers.

I'm planning on mirroring and striping 4 drives on 2 controllers. I've
never done striping before, but have done mirroring with 2 drives on the same
controller. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do this? Do I
mirror on the same controller or across controllers? What order are things
done? Stripe the drives and mirror the stripes or mirror the drives and
stripe the mirrors? Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My comments will assume a goal of maximum redundancy; if your goal is
speed these comments may not apply.
I'd recommend mirroring across controllers, so if you lose a controller
you don't lose the array.
It's safest to do the mirror first, then the stripe. That allows you
to lose two drives as long as they're in different mirrors. If you
were to stripe first, you could only lose one drive.
The thing you're after is called raid 10 (1+0) if you want to google
for more information.
I hope this helps... I owe you several.
