URLs in JDS3 terminal window broken in Solaris 10

I recently upgraded my Ultra 30 from Solaris 10 b72 to the FCS
version. In general, I'm quite pleased with the final version.
However, today I right-clicked on a URL in a terminal window, and got
the familiar menu. When I selected `Open link', I got an error box
that told me ``There was an error launching the default action command
associated with this location.''. Where do I find more details on
this error?
When I start the `Preferred Applications' application, it does not
show me a default web browser, and won't let me select one. I can
select a `Custom Web Browser', but that setting disappears whenever
I terminate and restart that application. What's wrong?
