i am thinkin' of installing netbsd on a laptop (IBM x31/40 or ASUS M5200N
under consideration)
would anyone have any previous experiences with those maschines???

I've not had any problem with NetBSD on any of the IBM laptops I've used.
These were several of the X and T series laptops, though I don't recall
the x31 in particular. Should work, though.

It does. 2.0 on a X31.

I use NetBSD-2.0 on my ThinkPad T20. Everything works fine but sound (CS461)
doesn't work. It plays with half frequency. Sad Is there any tricks to
avoid this?
