I am having trouble downloading mail from a remote mailserver (pop3) to
the computer. It looks as if the local mailbox was not accesible. Assuming
I am root (which I used in this case), where should the mail inbox be, and
which permission should it have? I am using 4.10.

Thanks / JB

I believe traditionally system user mailboxes are /var/mail/username,
and as for permissions:

-rw------- 1 pgsql pgsql 0 Oct 21 12:58 pgsql
-rw------- 1 postfix postfix 0 Jan 10 17:19 postfix
-rw------- 1 root wheel 3208648 Jan 10 17:05 root

Yep, that's what I am using here. Need to browse some documentation.
Thanks for your help
