FreeBSD 4.11 bootmanager woes
|
|
|
Hi,
After spending an afternoon messing with boot0cfg, boot, and the loader
on FreeBSD 4.11 I have reason to believe that something is screwed. I am
unable to get rid of a wrong setup in the MBR as generated by the ISO
install. The bootloder cannot be convinced by anything I tried not to
boot from the first slice of the second disk.
I've tried "boot0cfg -s 1 da0" as well as "boot0cfg -B -s 1 da0" even
together with /boot.config with no effect. da0 definitely is the first
disk, it appears the MBR is never updated. Never had had any problems
with 4.9 on the same machine.
Anybody else experiencing problems?
