Hi guys here I am again.

I have:
Suse linux 9.2
KDE 3.3

Background:
I modified the login preferences in the Control Center to allow direct
login without entering the password.

Problem:
Now the login is blocked. I have the nice screen I chosen in the
control center and nothing else. I can always go to the console login
via ctrl+alt+F1.

What I did:
Rename all the folders .Kde in root but nothing changed.

Nobody can help? (I am a newbie)

I don't understand this exactly. Did you do this before or after the
problem? I can't imagine how that would help. Why did you rename the
folder and what did you rename it to? And in the root directory? Are
you trying to log in as root or a regular user?

Can you log into KDE at all? how about if you log in at a terminal and
then startx? (do "init 3" first.) try as root if a regular user locks
up.

If you can, I'd go back to the login settings and undo the nologin
setting. I never use that, BTW., for just this kind of reason.
