I'm trying to get the 3D graphics up and running on the CLE266 chip and
would like to compare notes with anyone that has got one of these 3D
enabled. I'm not having much luck on 3D at all.

Which EPIA board? They're not all the same.

Have you downloaded and installed the Unichrome driver?

Read what's said at http://www.epiawiki.org/wiki and the VIA arena site
(especially the linux articles at
http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=58#5)

Cheers,
Daniel.

I'm using the unichrome driver with x-org and a 2.6 kernel on my
M10k-Nehemiah - running Gentoo Linux from a stage one install - it works
very nicely.

Hi Daniel,

I'm working on the ME6000 board and have downloaded the XFree86 4.4 base
line and updated it with the Unichome patches and have built and
installed the drivers. I chasing down a /dev/dri/card0 node name is
invalid in drmOpenDevice. Thanks for the links, I did not have one of them.

Can I take it that you have a project that is working in 3D?

Dave

No, sorry, I'm not really interested in 3D. My EPIA board (an M10000)
runs a digital TV card (and often only for it's radio channels). If I
have 3D support working I've never used it, so I really don't know.

Cheers,
Daniel.

Great to hear, at least I know it's do-able. What rate are you getting

with glxgears? What screen resolution?
