Hi,

In Nuenen (the Netherlands) you can have access to broadband cable
(www.onsnet.nu).
It works perfect under SuSE 9.1.

But i wondered if there is a way to activate eth0 on demand, like
Kinternet does with dial-in.

Why? If i am not connected i can not be hacked.

Thanks in advance,
Armand

halt. :-)

Just put up your firewall. If going down is your defence, that means
that you are vurlnerable when you are up. That is not security. A system
that is up for only 5 minutes and can be hacked is just as bad as a
system that is online for 24 hours.

If you are really afraid to be hacked and that you are unable to prevent
that with SUSE or LInux, either buy a hardware firewall or stay offline.
What you are trying to do is to be just a little bit pregnant.

Personally, I think most sports fans are a little "gay". They'd
rather watch a bunch of sweaty guys jumping all over eachother,
than, say fashion TV - where hot models walk down the runway.
