HP LASERJET 1320 on SuSE Linux Pro 9.2
|
|
|
Dear Linux friends,
I want to replace our Windows server with SuSE Linux Pro 9.2. However I must know that if I install the HP LASERJET 1320 printer on it, it will be accessible to our MS Windows XP clients.
Is this easy to set up?
What do I need to know?
All the best,
Ulf

I have not done that particular exercise, but I have set up printers on
Linux computers for access by MS machines and vice versa. It is not
incredibly difficult - there is a samba howto and the O'Reilly Samba book
is available free online. |

I cannot answer your particular question. However, I have one XP machine and
I can print from my HP LaserJet 1200 which is hooked up to my SUSE 9.2 box.
All I had to do was installing Samba and go with the standard Samba server
configuration in YaST.
