Hello,

I recently downloaded and burned Knoppix v3.6. I tried installing on
one of my PCs with the first boot device being set to CD. It started
off fine but then the screen goes blank. I figured it had something to
do with the video drivers on my particular PC not being recognized.
So, I tried my other PC, but unfortunately I am not able to change the
boot sequence in the BIOS to go to CD first. It always goes to the
floppy instead. I understand that in order to make a Knoppix boot
floppy disk, it has to be created within the Linux shell. I cannot get
into the Knoppix and run it in order to make a boot floppy. I was
wondering if there was anywhere I could go to download an .exe file or
pre-made knoppix boot floppy image that I can use to make a Knoppix
boot floppy? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try booting with another operating system, and look on the cdrom for
rawrite.exe and a .img file. But then, I'm not sure Knoppix will run on
a PC so old that it can't boot from CD.
