Anybody know of any drivers for this card? Preferably one that supports
hardware 3d acceleration. (BTW, I have already tried those provided at
the PowerVR website but they are for XFree86 (I use Xorg).
Thanks
Andrew

Your card is a little old and you are unfortunate enough to have a card
which drivers source are not completely avaiable. The PowerVR FAQ says the
following at http://faq.pvrgenerations.co.uk/viewfaqentry.cgi?WgPTSYF5 :

-8<----------------------------------------------------

Q: Why do the latest KYRO drivers not compile against Linux kernels
version 2.6 or above?

Linux kernel 2.6 introduced major structural changes to the way driver
modules are built and loaded. As a result, existing KYRO drivers are not
compatible with any Linux kernel whose version is 2.6 or above. To keep
using KYRO drivers, users are requested to use the latest available 2.4
Linux kernel version. There are currently no plans for providing drivers
supporting updated kernels.
-8<----------------------------------------------------

If they don't have any plans to support kernel 2.6 I doubt that they have
any plans to support X.org. As they haven't released the source for the
driver or any specifications noone else will be able to update the drivers
either.

Your choice is now to upgrade your card or downgrade your X server. If you
choose to upgrade your card I recomend a card were you get the source of
the driver. Unfortunately there are not many such cards to choose from,
see http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/FeatureMatrix for a list of cards.

regards Henrik
