Where is the ppi library?

hello netbsd-users

Actually I never had netbsd installed, but I want to give it a try.
I`m using FreeBSD and what I didn`t find in NetBSD is the ppi library.
This is a library that ease the access of the parallport. Because I`m
writing a tool for it (for freebsd) it`s important to me that this
library is implemented in the OS.
I didn`t find anything in the netbsd guide and nor in the man pages.

Can you help me?
