Hello,

the "TuxMobil News Digest" for May 2005[1] has good news
for Linux PDA, mobile phone, laptop and notebook users. Here is an
extract of the most important or most interesting messages.
If you are missing news, applications or documents, don't
hesitate to contact me.

Please support our work by submitting news and Linux reports about
laptops, notebooks, PDAs, mobile phones and portable media players.

|=| Another big brand has discovered Linux for their PDAs. NOKIA
announced a Linux-Powered Internet Tablet for the third
quarter of 2005[1]. Nokia will even support Linux developers
by selling 500 items for a 99$ each, and donate this
income to the GNOME Foundation[2].

PS: Addicted to Linux and mobile computing since almost ten years, I often
needed to investigate or repair laptop hardware. Sometimes I found it
difficult to get necessary information, so finally I have started a new
project:

Repair4Laptop

Need to achieve a hard disk or CPU upgrade of your laptop or notebook?
Need to repair a broken display? Want to dissect your laptop or
notebook, to know what chips are actually inside your mobile computer?
Are you missing a service manual? Or just in the mood of modding or
hacking your mobile gadget? Here is a collection of links to take apart
instructions, disassembly pictures or dismantling videos, upgrade and
repair manuals, as well as do-it-yourself (DIY) tips and tricks for
laptop and notebook repairs. If you have written a repair report
yourself, please send me a note.
