Hi guys,

I dont have much to go on here, but I have just tried to install
the i386 version of NetBSD onto a spare machine using
the i386cd.iso on a cd.

The cd booted fine, and the install finished without any error
and said it was sucessful.

So i removed the cd from the drive and restarted the machine...

After the POST screen and start of the boot...
Silence... no start message at all.. the machine appears to hang
with a flashing cursor.. and the hard disk indicator is staying lit
continiously.

machine is a celeron 2.4Ghz with 512MB of ram and 60GB
ATA-100 hard disk.

The machine used to have FreeBSD on it, and never had any problems.

any ideas?

Further to this, i tried what was suggested in the manual in case the MBR is
bad,

which was, boot from the disc and hit the spacebar during the
5 second count down, and enter:

boot wd0a:netbsd

I get wd0a: Device not configured.

:/
