ATI 9550 problem

Hi all, i'm new in Linux society so i dunno many things about Linux
and i got a problem with my Ati driver or the configuration of my
Xorg........
So after the driver instalation i reboot my system and there were no
changes........my open Gl doesn't works & dunno how to make it
works....
so if there some1 have like mine Video cart .......would you tell me
how to make it work
or copy your Xorg file configuration
i'm with 2.6.10 kernel

May be other answers here, but here goes. use xorgsetup and let the |
program configure your display to it's highest ability. I do not use
said card, nor any ATI cards, the Linux 2.6.X should have some
additional features for said card. Maybe you should try Linux 2.6.11.5 -
7 and see. X11 6.8.2 is my current as I FTP'd it from the Slackware
site. Kust run the xorgsetup and let it go. If you have a scroll mouse
then you'll want to make sure you have the information, and yes this
also makes a backup of your xorg.conf and you can fall back on it if
need be. |

Have you run fglrxconfig? This should set up your system to use
the ATI card and drivers.
fglrxinfo should give you info on OpenGl once the driver is
loaded. (see fglrxinfo -h for options).
