To the best of my knowledge, only Tru64 UNIX understands the AdvFS
on-disk fromat.
The format is not like any other on-disk format, so you couldn't
take some other file system and tweak it to understand AdvFS.
You might have better luck using the a UFS file system. That was
based on the BSD Fast File System and there might be a compatible
file system on Linux for that.
LSM could be another stumbling block. While it was originally
based on a licensed version of Vertas volume manager, it has
diverted from that code base. Again, I'm not sure there is
anything beside Tru64 UNIX that understands the on-disk format.
Then again, there are some enterprising Linux developers out there.
If you are of a mind to try, then if you can get Tru64 UNIX source
listings that would be best for understanding the on-disk format.
Also using the /sbin/advfs/* tools to decode some of the metadata
would be useful. The showfile command, using the raw option, can
be helpful in understanding the file extent information.
