Re: oracle and jre update

I have some experiences in oracle 9.2.0.4 with this, had to do this in
order to get some things working, with help of oracle support was no
problemn
In oracle_home you have JRE which is a link to your current jre
installation
As long as you install a new jre next to your old no problem at all.
Basically you only should have to change your link but I did this with
HP-UX and there comes the riddle, as from 1.4 HP no longer has a
separate jre and jdk they're bundled together, so you cannnot find the
jre anymore.
In order to solve this you have to change some of the scripts in
~oracle/bin to point to this new location and executable names
Hth,

oracle and jre update
|
|
|
Hi all,
does my oralce restarting without problems when I update the old sun jre
to jre 1.4 for Linux on my United Linux 1.0? Does anybody has some
experiences with that? I want to listen some experiences before I try to
update this...
Thanks very much!
