Hi,
I want to assign SYSADM privileges to user say XYZ. I know that this
privileges can't be assigned directly using grant command. But can be
acheived by assigning the privileges to group and then inturn assign
the user to the group? Does this group mean OS level group or something
else? plz tell me how to do that?

1. SYSADM is *NOT* a priviledge - it is an authority level.

2. DB2 online documentation available at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2help/index.jsp is an excelent and
searchable source of information - try it.

For Your Information
--------------------

DB21085I Instance "DB2" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL08010"
with
level identifier "01010106".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.0.36", "s021023", "", and FixPak
"0".
Product is installed at "C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB".

OS: Win 2k Professional

I come across this question while preparing for DB2 701 exam.

Thanks,
Thiru
