Thanks Ron,

Because I don't have Visual Studio, if I use current version I have
to
buy Visual Studio.

As you mentioned, the upcoming Berkeley DB XML release will include a
Windows Installer. So, if the upcoming release will not be a long
time,
it is worth for me to wait. But I wonder how long do I need to wait
for
it? (approximately)

Thank you again for your help and information.

Regards,

Approximately one month.

The current release of Berkeley DB XML (2.0.9) requires Visual Studio
on a Windows Platform.

The upcoming Berkeley DB XML release will include a Windows Installer.

Installation instructions are found here:

Dear friends,

I downloaded dbxml-2.0.9 and read the instructions to install it. It
included DB 4.3.27, Xerces 2.6.0, Pathan and XQuery 1.0.3. While
reading instructions, I think I may need MVS. Am I right? Could you
please explain me about the step by step installation procedure? I am
using Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2.

Thank you for your time and helpfulness.

Regards,
