I've googled this and can't find an answer for Linux. I downloaded an
image of a - um - CD for testing from one of the P2P networks. (Actually
it is a replacement of an older CD I seem to have misplaced and need some
hardware drivers for.)

Anyway, I got the file and unzipped it. When I did, I got a <title>.mds
and <title>.mdf file. Looking in the internet, I see these are a type of
image file, but K3B won't open them. There is supposedly a utility called,
MagicISO, but that appears to be a Windows product.

Ideas?

The image was made with alcohol 120% which is a 100% window$ software.

Ideas?

try this : http://freshmeat.net/projects/mdf2iso/
With the command-line, it should convert this image in something you
will be able to burn with k3b.

Bye,
Rv

Ahh, that alcohol 120%. Some dude just mentioned in this NG a few weeks
ago. I'll fire up the - gulp - command line and let y'all know how it
goes. Thanks!!

Let's see, how do I get to the command line again? Start, run, cmd... nope...

Okay, that worked, thanks!

I now have my CD drivers disc burned and ready to update some old coax
cards. :)

Now, what is "notepad"? The readme.txt file says to open in "notepad". :)
