There doesn't seem to be a mechanism to display messages when a user
enters a certain directory, as is often the case in some FTP server implementations.
And by the time the user's login.com is executed, it is too late.
Would the madgoat FTP server have the ability to automatically display
certain files upon entering a directory ? (for instance .welcome) ? |

Setting up different ftp users
|

Hello
I need help on how to set up ftp accounts for different users. How would I set
up the login.com so that when user X ftp in they will see a different message
from user Y. Tcpip$anonymous_welcome and tcpip$anonymous_server can be used for
everybody, but I need to have the message display just for certain users. The
users will only have access by ftp and will not have dialup/remote/batch/local
privileges. I will be using Tcpip V5.4 on a Alpha and V5.3 on a VAX..
thanks for any input
