the '-e' command line parameter will echo the SQL statements into the
output a '-o <filename>' parameter will then write both the SQL and
results into the same file.

It might help if you review the Utility Manual section on isql.

How can I put my select statement together with the output into a file ?
For example
isql -Uuser -Ppass -Sservername

select * from mytable
go
then the output from this and the select into a file ?
