hi, i have two feint vertical lines each about 5cm wide on my tft screen
that seem to make any print that falls within them misty and milky
coloured.

any adjustments i could make to remove them, please?

If your TFT monitor (maker? connected to what computer?) is connected
through an
analog cable, you probably have to fiddle with the "phase" setting (your
monitor
should have a MENU or similar button to bring up an OSD). Two clicks to
the
right or left should be ok (all this assuming my guess is correct).

many thanks its an old NEC monitor. connected to a fairly recent fujitsu
siemens 3.2 ghtz. using analog cable to connect to the monitor.

i have now realised that there are more than two vertical lines that make
the printing milky. they are all right across the screen horizontally. these
lines are about 5cm wide and horizontally spaced about 10cm from each other.

i'm not sure which is the phase setting? there are four buttons on front of
the monitor, marked: select, - , + , reset.

then there are five led lights labelled: H total, delay, the next has a
sybol difficult to describe, but i know it moves the whole screen vertically
in the monitor, the next one moves the whole screen horizontally, and the
final led is labelled, 'reset'.

any further thoughts much appreciated.

I really should keep that in mind when talking with people, actually...
