problem with fflush command
|
|
|
Hi
I'm amending existing C code running on AIX 5.1. The program is
dumping core with a segementation violation. Prior to this the program
writes to the stream OK via fprintf: the data appears in the file
associated with my stream. It is only when I come to fflush() the
stream that the segmentation violation occurs. At this point I am not
sure whether some pointer manipulation earlier in the program has
somehow compromised the stream or whether it is fflush() itself that
has stomped on memory it shouldnt have (or both?).
I suspected it was earlier pointer manipulation of a character
buffer. However, the character buffer is written to the stream so I
would have thought that SIGSEGVs would have manifested themselves
earlier if this was the case. So, I'm lost at this point.
Any hints on how to narrow this down further would be gratefully
received. Thanks! - Kevin |
