Is there a regex or wildcard solution to shorten the command? The server
shell is running tcsh.

scp -s $user@$server:/var/log/httpd/\{gnarlodious,spectrumology,murraysfalafel\}_access_log.1107993600.gz
looks shorter to me. |

I have been saying something like this to snarf my logfiles:
scp -2
$user@$server:/var/log/httpd/\{gnarlodious_access_log.1107993600.gz,spectrum
ology_access_log.1107993600.gz,murraysfalafel_access_log.1107993600.gz\}
/private/tmp
