NFS server on Solaris 10
Subject description: rpcinfo -p does not show any nfs services

I have a Solaris 10 running on Sun-Fire-V490. The following nfs-related daemons are running:
daemon 469 1 0 Jun 18 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/nfs/statd
daemon 468 1 0 Jun 18 ? 3:22 /usr/lib/nfs/nfsmapid
daemon 467 1 0 Jun 18 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/nfs/nfs4cbd
daemon 502 1 0 Jun 18 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/nfs/lockd
daemon 13011 1 0 13:05:46 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/nfs/nfsd
root 13009 1 0 13:05:46 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/nfs/mountd
yet, rpcinfo -p does not show any nfs services registered.
Also, /var/adm/messages has the following:
Sep 4 10:06:39 synergypro mountd[6666]: [ID 598860 daemon.error] svc_create: could not register prog 100231 vers 1 on ticlts
Sep 4 10:06:39 synergypro mountd[6666]: [ID 598860 daemon.error] svc_create: could not register prog 100231 vers 1 on ticotsord
Sep 4 10:06:39 synergypro mountd[6666]: [ID 598860 daemon.error] svc_create: could not register prog 100231 vers 1 on ticots
the client, which is a linux vm reports the following when attempting to mount:
mount: mount to NFS server 'synergy' failed: RPC Error: Program not registered.
any help or leads will be appreciated.
thanks! |
