Reverse proxying through a forward proxy?
|
|
|
Situation:
Internet <--> Reverse proxy <--> forward proxy <---> backend server
From the reverse proxy, I can't directly access the backend server. There
is however a forward proxy that I can access which can access the backend
server. The network behind the forward proxy, and the forward proxy itself
are hosted by a third party so I can't change anything in the structure
there (i.e. change network settings so I can reach the backend server
directly), and said 3rd party doesn't want to make the changes either.
Is it possible to reverse proxy through a forward proxy, e.g. by setting
an environment variable http_proxy?
