Hi,

I need to restore a database backed up with vdump on AIX. Since there seems
to be no way to read it with standard tools and I cannot go back to my
client and ask him to do a backup with gtar for example, I would like to try
to read the tape block by block. Is there a way to know how data is stored
on the file?
