wow.

1) this list does not support plesk. Please read the list archives for more
information. Don't even bother debating it, you will not get plesk help from
this list.

2) use of splogger is highly discouraged for reasons you described. Check out

We have come upon an error in qmail, with splogger, running on plesk.
It seem like the
qmail log is filling up the fifo queue, and the freezes the processes.

This is the plesks solution for this problem:
"the problem is rare but we've faced it before: for some reason qmail
stops to work after some time. The reason is unknown but most likely it
is hardware problem or very low level linux kernel bug which appears
only in rare conditions.

The only way to make freezed qmail to work again is to do 'cat' on
qmail-send's 0 fd:

[root@h17 ~]# ps axww | grep qmail-send
6714 pts/2 S 0:00 qmail-send
[root@h17 ~]# cat /proc/6714/fd/0 > /dev/null

and qmail immidiately starts to work normally. But this action breaks
mail logging -- maillog stops updating with info from qmail.

As I already told the reason is unknown and you are the second person
who have this problem. Last time I saw it almost 2 years ago -- we've
tried to resolve the problem using all available ways: qmail
recompilation, Linux kernel upgrading, tuning kernel parameters but no
luck. Only migration to another hardware resolved the problem.

I suggest you to check hardware of the server very carefully and do all
possible tests on it.

Currently, I've ran 'screen' session where 'cat /proc/6714/fd/0
Quote:
/dev/null' is ran and qmail is working now. The number of messages in
queue is 7300 and it's constantly dicreasing.

Please check and let us know if you have any further questions."
