whoops -- perhaps 'wlan0' (rather than ath0)??

This appears to be Debian specific;

but all elements may not apply...

Either you are not running Debian or a Debian-derivative or you do not have
the 'discover' package installed.

I see...
~$ apt-cache search discover
[...]
discover - hardware identification system
discover-data - Data lists for Discover hardware detection system
discover1 - hardware identification system
discover1-data - hardware lists for libdiscover1
[...]
hwinfo - Hardware identification system
[...]

-------------

~$ dpkg -L discover
Package `discover' is not installed.

I hadn't realized (known) about this tool/utility
BTW -- I'm running Debian Sid on Kernel 2.6.8-3-686
~$ uname -a
Linux <host> 2.6.8-3-686 #1 Thu May 25 02:27:57 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

I guess I mostly use 'lspci', 'dmidecode', and 'hwinfo' for hardware
info -- I'll check out 'discover' now too Wink
========================
Back to the OP's issues;
I presume the OP is trying to install Debian Sarge? (says "setup" in
the Subject, so makes me think "installation/setup" issues) -- I wonder
if so, and what (if any) X version (Xorg (Etch/Sid), or Xfree86
(Sarge)).

Have you run 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg' ? (and chosen 'ati' as the
display driver) -- substitute 'xfree86' for 'xorg' in that command if
using Sarge.

What is thte exact model Ati Radeon? Is it Onboard Graphics?, Is this a
Laptop? (though doubtful, you did say "home pc" in your orig post).

Have you installed the necessary X window system components? (If even
using X) -- these are (but not limited to);
x-window-system-core
x-window-system

What's the output of these;
~$ dpkg -l | grep xorg
and
~$ dpkg -l | grep xfree86
and
~$ lsmod

IIRC, the command 'iwconfig' should help tell you something about your
wireless card ('ifconfig' for plain wired ethernet) and some certain
kernel modules may be missing (more 'exacting' info is needed). I
_think_ 'ath0' (?) is used for wireless (in some cases), rather than
'eth0' (eth1, eth2) which is usually wired ethernet.

Google "belkin wireless linux iwconfig" -- without knowing the chip
(and/or exact model of your belkin card) it may be hard to tell you
which modules to load - but I'm not a wireless guy, others here know a
lot more about it than I.

Just throwing out some thoughts - but I'm fairly new to linux myself,
so listen to others more experienced than I (especially with "wireless"
stuff).

Either you are not running Debian or a Debian-derivative or you do not have
the 'discover' package installed.

That's funny .. I too am using Linux (and I dual-boot too), but;
When I run "discover"

~$ discover
bash: discover: command not found

What gives??
