I have bought a Indigo 2 from e-bay recentley I have updated it so it
now runs Irix 6.5 and i am trying to set it up to run as a server. I
wanted to use Apache as my server software but its previous owner had
already set up Netscape Fast Track to be used as the server software. I
am trying to turn Fast Track off because I cant get the SGI to run
Apache with Netscape on and running. Does anybody know how to turn
Netscape Fast Tack off without deleating it ,because it is a nice
software package an I would like to keep it, and allow me to run Apache
instead???
edit /etc/config/nss_fasttrack (change 'on' to 'off')

a 'chkconfig nss_fasttrack off' should also do, AFAIK

Toni

Thanks alot it worked!

In later IRIX 6.5 Versions SGI have replaced the nss with a more recent
apache 1.3.x version. You have written that have run an 6.5 upgrade....
so the question is which version do you run?

Try a "uname -Ra". The last IRIX for your indigo2 was 6.5.22 which is
for free download as an upgrade. With 6.5.21 and up you can run
NEKOWARE www.nekochan.net/downloads.php.

To answer your question I am running IRIX64 6.5 6.5.7f so i am not
running the latest upgrade fo rmy system.
