solaris 10 64 bit on hp a1540n ... ideas and thoughts
|
|
|
Looks like a new hp desktop machine out a1540n it's an AMD x2 4200
based machine ( 2 gig of DDR2 RAM ) think it's a hp commissioned asus
based motherboard ( could be wrong there ). SATA hard drive.
It's got some kind of built in video nvidia 6150 le ( shared memory ).
Probably I would put in some kind of pci express video card ( ati x1300
? / nvidea 7300 ? ).
Any thoughts on how well solaris 10 64 bit is going to do with this
kind of new machine? I don't care if I don't have drivers for
everything if most of the machine is operational.
Does solaris 10 installer offer any kind of dual boot support when
installing?
Thanks in advance.
