Panic on "Halt"
|
|
|
To all,
I have a PowerMac G4 (Digital Audio version) with a 533 MHz CPU and 640 MB
RAM serving as my network attached storage device. It has been running
NetBSD 3.0-release for almost a month now with (otherwise) no problems,
except that the system crashes at the end of unmounting all disks after a
"halt" command (I haven't not verified that it does this *EVERY* time, but
certainly I have seen it on several occasion). Here is a re-creation of
what it says when I type in "halt":
syncing disks ... done
unmounting file systems ... done
halted
trap: kernel ISI by 0xfc270094 (SRR1 0x4000b032)
panic: trap
Stopped at netbsd:cpu_Debugger+0x10: 1wz r0, r1, 0x14
db>
Of course, by that point I have no way of using the keyboard to see what I
can find through the debugger, so I am stuck. The good thing (I guess) is
that, since all the disks have been unmounted by that point, I can simply
pull the power cord and power it back on. But I wonder if I am doing
something wrong.
Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.
