Don't worry. When the autumn comes the articles about homebrew MSCP
adapters will start flowing again.

It's funny you should mention that. There is a definite correlation
between that subject and the cooler weather, as remarked before.

Actually our MSCP/ATA project continues, although we are now favouring
a soft-CPU in FPGA instead of an FPGA+MCU design. We have broken out
QBus signals* to a transceiver board which will shortly meet an FPGA
development board. The next step is to test ordinary memory
transactions, then DMA, and by steps to what is needed to host MSCP.
Two of us are working on it, the hardware expert, and me, who will be
responsible for the firmware.

In his separate MSCP project, vax9000 has got considerably further, but
apparently not to a stage where it's buildable by hobbyists:

* our test hardware is MicroPDP-11/73 and MicroVAX II (when the latter
is operational :)

All good - when are you getting another motorcycle? Smile

Not a MC driver, but I do drive Porsches at tracks. Maybe not too
dissimilar? :-)

E11 is basically just working at the moment, so I'm not too surprised by
the quietness from that point of view.
Wish I could land a few more deals for you, but nothing on the horizon
at the moment.

Win32 came a little late for my customer, but the Linux version is
probably a better path in my eyes anyway. :-)

The only gripes I have with E11 is that we still have a few bits to sort
out on the 11/74 emulation. But we'll take that when you have the time.

Make that three, but probably a lot more. Tons of people are closet bikers...
I like how carrying a helmet around in your daily life makes everyone stop
and tell you the story of The Incident which made them give up riding.

Things really are slow though. Complaints about E11 have dropped to a
trickle, I might actually get caught up at this rate! Isn't anyone using
the new Win32 version? I expected to get buried in gripes about that,
since there's so much new code and I'm new to Win32 programming, but maybe
other PDP-11 users really do feel the same way about GUI OSes that I do
(although the FTP/web logs show plenty of downloads).

Seeing this mention of the size of the intersection of the set of
motorcyclists and the set of PDP-11 owners, I wonder how big the size
of the intersection is of the set of classic military vehicle owners
and the set of PDP-11 owners. I know of only one ;-)
