StarOffice existed previous to being owned by Sun. See:

I know that StarOffice was originally made by the German StarDivision
because at that time I already was using StarOffice at home. Still fact
is that there never ever was a StarOffice for HP-UX...

Right, Sun _owns_ StorageTek. Sun is not StorageTek. StorageTek still is
a separate business. StorageTek does indeed support competitors' UNIXes.
Sun doesn't.

There also is no OpenOffice for HP-UX, simply because no-one made the
effort to port it. Since OO already runs on several other UNIXes in
theory it shouldn't be too difficult to port it to HP-UX.

iī m searching for a office-software for my hp-ux workstation. for a
long time, i think 1999/2000 sun distribute a free version of
staroffice for hp-ux - i canīt find any link`s for office-productīs
running on HP-UX. i search for the latest version from star office
(5.2 for HP-UX) - but you canīt buy this version nowhere - can
anybody help me please.
