If the machine has a floppy drive, you're all set for a network
install. The three floppy*.fs files from the CD or mirror are
floppy-sized boot images, which let you proceed with a network install.
The last option is to move the hard drive temporarily to a computer
which has a CD drive, install and move the hard drive back.

I'm sorry, I didn't read correctly this section. I thought ftp was only
to install new packages...
Many thanks !

install opensdb without any cd-rom drive
|
|
|
Hello,
I would like to install OpenBSD on an (very) old computer (P90, RAM
24Mo), to set up a router/gateway for my little private network. (Until
now, I was using a linux distrib, but I want to test BSD).
But the problem is that I don't have any CD-ROM drive on this computer,
and I didn't find anywhere how to install OpenBSD without any CD-ROM drive.
Is it not possible ? Do I have to temporaly connect a CD-ROM drive ?
Can you help me ?
Many thanks !
Guillaume. |
