I've got a tape that was supposed to have been written on a Tru64 Unix
system. 10240-byte blocks. Looks sorta tar-ish to me. I can of course
copy the raw file to disk, and have done so. But I can't open the file
via TAR or CPIO. Have tried both on a Windows system with the GNU tools
(and others), and even on a small Tru64 system. No go.
Maybe there's some other utility that was used. Can anybosy tell from
the hex dumps below?
I removed the many lines of 00's and inseerted "..." in a few spots,
and only included the beginning of the second block.
