Works fine with mips cc and 6.5.28.

Try `config.sub --help' for more information.

Can you provide the config.log too?

There was no PHP4 in nekoware. Maybe you have download a user
contributed build. Keep in mind that you need some recent GNU tools like
sed, make and some others to build PHP and for re-creating you need the
right[tm] versions of autoconf and automake.

Attempting to configure & build PHP-5.1.2 on IRIX 6.5.22m using freeware
gcc 3.3. When I run configure (see options at end), I get this message:

------------------------------------------------------------
checking host system type... config.sub: missing argument
Try `config.sub --help' for more information.

checking target system type... config.sub: missing argument
Try `config.sub --help' for more information.
------------------------------------------------------------

I can't understand why config.sub does not recognize the IRIX system.
How can I get past this error?

If you reply by email, get rid of XXX from the address. Thanks.
